Independence Day

Happy 4th of July everyone.

Today has been a wonderful mix of waiting for camp, packing, folding the twin's laundry, and a 4th of July party at the Vetters.

Okay, so my family never really did fireworks. We didn't waste our money on that when we can just go outside and watch our neighbors ruin the road and make our neighborhood smell like smoke for the next week.

So I grew up like that.

Tonight, I got to see first hand the fireworks AND I got my first sparkler. Yes, my first sparkler at 16 years old. It was a very blessed moment.

I love summer.

The 4th of July is like the best summer holiday. You get BBQ, you swim, you watch fireworks, it's all good.

Except when your fireworks suck like the ones we had, but hey. It's all in good Independence Day fun =] And I had a delightful time.

In 48 hours I will be in my cabin at Calvin Crest, HOPEFULLY with Amy, Allison, Jess, Cami, Casey, Nicole, Paxi, and Danielle and myself. We'll probably be breaking into the gummi bears and licorice right about time rocking out to some tunes on Allison's iHome.

Yes, I can't wait.

I look forward to camp every year. Beyond reason.
It's seriously, THE highlight of my summer.

What I make a countdown, a packing list, and wait my entire school year for.

And it's only a short 38 hours away.
Yay =]

Happy 4th of July.

"Our neighborhood always has the best illegal fireworks."

Respectfully submitted,
