I love today.

Today has been, probably the best day of the year so far.
Let's have a recap, shall we?
Because I'm really enjoying it.

For starters, choir has been starting off the year really well. Our music is spectacular, with some AWESOME lady bass parts I've probably been waiting my entire life for. I enjoy the people in choir, the friendships being built, and fun I've been having. I only have 2 mores semesters after this to make my high school years the best years of my life, and I do plan on doing that.

Fast-forward to after school, basketball practice. I've been getting super frustrated with how the season has been going, not for the team, but just in myself. I don't understand how my skill level dropped so much, and I really haven't been having good games in league so far, and just overall frustrated. I'm in that process of applying what I know in my head, to what I do on the court. I want to help in anyway possible, that being usual rebounding and being well...a post player.

What did make my day however, was our basketball practice. We went hard, and we did good. We ran our drills, we pulled each other up, and had a good practice. I got some amazing encouragement today that only reminded me that I'm working, and working will get me somewhere. It may not be as soon as I want it to be, but it will happen.

I plan on making our game tomorrow my breaking point out of this rut I'm stuck in, and becoming a force to be reckoned with on our team. I need to start stepping up if I plan on making this team better than ever. I will contribute, and I will do good. I will have confidence. I will do whatever it takes to make my coach and my team proud. Basketball has always been something I loved, and now it may not be coming naturally, but the work I've been doing this season will pay off.

I'm going to stop saying "I'll try."
And start saying "I will."

"This isn't even Spanish, it's like critical thinking."

Respectfully submitted,
