Decision Time.

Tuesday, March 30, 2010

Well, it's spring break.

The last relaxation before the final stretch of the school year.
In this case, the final stretch of high school.

Ironically, this also happens to be the week I've made my decision to where I'm attending school next fall. Thanks to a rejection letter from Boston College, I'm packing up and moving on out to Santa Barbra to attend Westmont College after this summer.

I was disappointed for a while, but now I'm beginning to get excited about the next four years of my life. People keep telling me how amazing my years at Westmont will be, so I'm just going to start getting excited about it as well.

After all, it's not like I got denied admission from Boston, and now I'm stuck at like, Reedley College or something.

6 schools out of 7 isn't bad. That's what my parents keep reminding me. I just wish I could have gotten in, not because I would have for sure moved out to the east coast, but just saying I was offered admission to every school I applied to would have been really neat.

Well, that's life.
What are you gonna do?

I'm going to make the best of it.

I have two more months of high school left before I kind of, well...have to grow up. The next months will bring the end of many things, but the beginnings of even more. I'm excited for where I'm headed and where I will go.

Bring it on world,
I'm ready :)

"Just gotta, roll with the punches and make this the best. 'Cause this life, is the only life that I'm gonna get."

Respectfully submitted,

  1. Too bad about BC! Would have liked to have you out here on the east coast. Keep in mind that I got that same rejection letter from Caltech -- stings, but things end up working out beautifully.

Anyways, all the more reason to get an internship in Boston or NYC once you're a thriving college student at Westmont. :P

  2. My alma mater =) A fine fallback option, to be sure!

My sister and I will be sure to give you plenty of advice about Westmont!
