About

“My Life as Leah” is a dedicated space for authentic storytelling, of my life and my experiences. It is a space for processing and sharing the truths I have learned throughout my life, with the hope these truths would be valuable to you as well. It is a space to honor God-given creativity through content creation, continually directing my work towards Him and His will for my life.

Hello.

My name is Leah, and I am a writer. "Content Creator," if you want an official title, since I'm not currently writing articles or books, but online content for readers (like you) to enjoy. But when I am working on my blog, I am a writer. And I am so happy that you have found your way to my little space on the internet.

I have been writing for as long as I can remember. Beneath my childhood bed lies a cardboard box filled with old journals and notebooks from my elementary school days, scribbles of "Dear Diary," amidst stories of what school had been like, my new "best friends" and how much I loved my cat. Thank goodness that's not (entirely) what I write about now.

But I do write, and I write often here about stories and experiences in life that I want to share with you. My Life as Leah has been my primary outlet of writing since 2008, when I started blogging just for fun. This blog has followed me through high school, college, and into my adult years. I've always loved writing, and I plan on continuing to share my ideas with the world in this space that I have.

I love to produce digital content on my blog and more recently, on my YouTube channel. The channel features videos which expand on some of the stories I share on my blog, as well as individual experiences best told through a visual lens. However, my first love is writing, and I continue to share my written content regularly on my blog.

Brenda Ueland, author of If You Want to Write: A Book about Art, Independence, and Spirit sums up writing in a beautiful way. I re-read this book every year, especially when I am not motivated to sit down and type out what is going on in my head, because she has crafted the art of writing into something that makes me want to pick up a pen again and fill empty lines in my journal. She encourages me to be messy, to write recklessly, daring to write that which might frighten me. Words are powerful, powerful things. They motivate, change, impact, and help others understand. And at the root of it all, that is what I hope my writing conveys.

"...at last I understood that writing was this: an impulse to share with other people a feeling or truth that I myself had.”

What I create on My Life is Leah is a summary of life experiences or revelations that have moved me so much that I cannot bear to keep them to myself. I want to share them with the world, so that others may understand and feel the truths themselves.

Thank you for taking time to read, watch, and share my content. My hope is that in all of my work, you would find stories of encouragement, perseverance, trust, and joy.

As always,

Respectfully submitted,
Leah
